Digital X-rays, intraoral cameras, iTero 3D scanning and laser gum therapy — the tools we use at Renova Dental to make your visit clearer, faster and more comfortable.
Our iTero scanner replaces the old putty impression tray with a small wand and a few minutes of gentle scanning. In moments your teeth appear on screen in full 3D — no gagging, no waiting for a mould to set, and nothing to re-do if it smudges.
Because the scan is digital, Dr. Parisa can rotate it, zoom in on a worn edge and even show you a simulation of how your smile could look after Invisalign treatment, all while you are still in the chair.
Better images mean smaller, earlier treatment. A crack, a leaking filling or the first shadow of decay is far easier to deal with when it is caught on a sharp digital image rather than months later when it starts to hurt.
It also means you are part of the conversation. Instead of being told what is wrong, you see it on the screen beside you and decide what to do next with the full picture in front of you.
Digital tools shorten appointments. Images appear on screen in seconds instead of minutes, scans are sent to the lab electronically the same day, and there are fewer repeat visits caused by an impression that did not set properly. For most patients that adds up to less time in the chair and a shorter wait between diagnosis and finished treatment.
Digital sensors have replaced film in our operatories. The image appears on the monitor almost instantly, at a fraction of the radiation film required, and it can be brightened, magnified and compared side by side with last year’s image.
Every X-ray, photo and 3D scan we take is stored in one digital chart. That means your history is in front of Dr. Parisa the moment you sit down — last year’s images beside today’s, so changes are obvious rather than guessed at. If you need a specialist, a lab or a second opinion, your records travel electronically in minutes instead of being re-taken from scratch.
A camera the size of a pen lets us take a clear, magnified photo of any tooth in your mouth and put it straight on the screen in front of you.
It is the simplest piece of technology we use and often the most useful. A hairline crack or a worn-down filling is hard to picture when it is described to you — and impossible to argue with when you are looking at it magnified on a monitor. It also gives you a clear before-and-after record of the work you have had done.
For gum therapy we use a dental laser alongside traditional cleaning instruments. The laser targets inflamed, infected tissue precisely, which usually means less bleeding, less discomfort during the appointment and a more comfortable recovery afterwards.
It is a gentler option for patients who have been putting off gum treatment because of a bad experience in the past.

Digital sensors use significantly less radiation than the traditional film they replaced, and we only take images when there is a clinical reason to. Protective aprons and thyroid collars are used as standard.
No. The scanner is a small handheld wand that is simply passed over your teeth. Most patients find it far easier than a traditional impression tray, especially if you have a sensitive gag reflex.

Yes. Because everything is digital, we can forward your images to a specialist, an orthodontic lab or your insurance provider electronically, usually the same day.
